"Pee with dignity"
About the project
Quality takmed saves lives, so when you donate to takmed, you donate to life.
The goal is to raise 7.5 million hryvnias to re-equip the restrooms into inclusive ones, which will help to rehabilitate with dignity!
Once we came to the same hospital with N. N had no two arms, so I prosthetically repaired them. the hospital had a floor for guys with amputated limbs. the doctors were good, the conditions were sad.
I went to the restroom, where I was unharmed, but it was extremely uncomfortable: sides, thresholds, holes in the floor. well, all this scoop crap that was not designed for people with disabilities.
- "Let's build you a toilet," I say.
The hospital didn't agree, they weren't ready. it doesn't matter, I got over my indignation six months ago. everyone has their own hopes, but I haven't given up hope.
I always say that if you want to change something, change it. go and sweep that stairwell without waiting for someone else to do it for you.
and so we went and swept)
We built our first inclusive restroom, in the "Pee with Dignity" project, in a wonderful hospital in Kyiv.
There is a whole branch ahead, where each floor and each ward will have a comfortable restroom with a shower, which you can use on your own without being held by nurses.
I can't change the whole world, but I can help someone in a good way.

So I was told by a philosopher that you can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you'll find you get what you need.
