DISTANT VILLAGES

About the project

Since April 2022, we have visited more than 700 de-occupied territories, frontline and gray zones (some of which, unfortunately, have been re-occupied or destroyed altogether).

These are tens of thousands of kilometers covered and thousands of people who have been treated by civilian medicine, thousands of civilian first aid kits and hundreds of equipped medical backpacks distributed to local paramedics.

We went to places where it was difficult for the system to reach, and we remember those times with gratitude and pride.

This project has now been suspended, as the state has much better organized medical supplies for civilians and, of course, much of the assistance has been provided by local volunteers, activists, and foundations specializing in working with civilians. We are very grateful to them for that.
